You can put a container of water in the fridge to check the temperature. After a couple of hours, you will want to take a look at the container of water. You will want to look for condensation. If the condensation appears quickly that means that the water is very cold. If ice appears, the fridge is too cold. It is supposed to be at 38 degrees. The thermometer is the best way to tell if it is correct so that you can keep your food good for as long as possible.
